On December 16, 2024, the Fourth High-End Forum on Packaging Sustainability and the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Shanghai Packaging Association's Packaging Machinery Committee was held as scheduled at the Shanghai Languo Grand Hotel, located at No. 125 Bole South Road, Jiading District, Shanghai. Co-hosted by the Shanghai Packaging Technology Association and the Shanghai Packaging Machinery Committee, the forum aimed to explore sustainable development strategies and breakthrough solutions for the packaging industry, attracting numerous industry experts and corporate representatives to participate.

At 1:30 PM, the forum officially commenced. Attendees checked in and participated in brand showcases, creating a lively atmosphere at the venue. Subsequently, Mr. Qian Qixi, President of the Shanghai Packaging Technology Association, delivered an opening speech. He extended a warm welcome to the guests present and emphasized the importance of the packaging industry in terms of sustainable development. Following this, Mr. Hua Dechun, Vice President of Goss Graphic Systems (China) Co., Ltd., and Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Packaging Association’s Machinery Committee, also gave a speech, sharing the company's experiences and achievements in promoting sustainable development within the packaging sector.

During the subsequent agenda, Mr. Guo Haixiang, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Packaging Association’s Machinery Committee, delivered a keynote report titled "Summary of the Machinery Committee's Work in 2024 and Key Work Arrangements for 2025," reviewing the accomplishments of the past year and outlining the direction for future efforts. Following this, Mr. Mao Yiyi, Director of the Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative Enterprises Department at the Shanghai Small and Medium Enterprises Development Service Center, provided a detailed analysis of the cultivation policies and service measures for specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative enterprises, offering policy guidance to the participating companies.

In addition, Mr. Chen Ming, Senior Project Director of Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech titled "SWOP Empowers Packaging Professionals to Win the Future," sharing SWOP's experience and insights in promoting the sustainable development of the packaging industry. Mr. Gao Kemin, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the Shanghai Food Association, further conducted an in-depth discussion on "The Current Status and Trends of Automation and Intelligence in the Food Industry," providing participants with cutting-edge industry information and ideas.

During the roundtable session, industry experts and corporate representatives engaged in lively discussions on topics such as "Strategies for Transcending Competition in the Packaging Industry" and "Breaking Boundaries and Sustainable Development in a New Era of Packaging." Mr. Feng Haiyun, General Manager of KUKO, shared his insights into the packaging machinery industry at the meeting. He provided a detailed account of the successful experiences KUKO has achieved in the field of sleeving and shrinking machinery, which received strong recognition from the attending industry experts and corporate representatives and sparked enthusiastic discussions. The networking segment further provided participants with the opportunity to engage in face-to-face exchanges with industry experts, jointly exploring future trends in the development of the industry.
